With almost every recessed spotlight, the spring type is fixed once you order. Torsion springs or leaf springs: the spring type belongs to the fixture itself, and it's not possible to install a different type afterwards. With the Snaxx and Snax from Lucide Premium, it's different: both spring types are included in the box as standard. You only decide during installation.
Both springs included
Normally, you need to know in advance where each spot will end up and what it will be attached to. Gypsum board in the living room, a concrete drill hole in the hall, a stretch ceiling in the bathroom — with a classic spot, that means thinking three times about the right model.
With the Snaxx and Snax, that exercise is eliminated. They are supplied with both torsion springs and leaf springs as standard. If the situation on site turns out to be different than expected, you simply switch springs. One item is sufficient for your entire home, regardless of what is above the ceiling — even if you add another one later in a different room.
Which spring type works best where can be found in our blog about torsion springs and leaf springs. In short: both work excellently in a suspended ceiling, leaf springs are the better choice in solid concrete and the only option in a stretch ceiling.

Please note when ordering: the recess size differs. Each model requires its own drill hole. If you combine them in one home, take this into account when planning your ceiling.
The Snax is the more discreet of the two. The Snaxx provides significantly more light and is the logical choice above a kitchen island, a dining table, or in a room with a high ceiling.
Colour temperature that can be changed later
Both spotlights have a CCT switch on the mounting plate: 2700 K for warm, homely light or 4000 K for cooler and brighter.
That choice is not final. If after a while you feel the kitchen could be a bit cooler, you simply remove the spot from the ceiling and flip the switch. No new fixtures, no electrician. So you don't have to decide in the showroom what light you'll like best in five years.
Zigbee, or just your switch
The Snaxx and Snax are Zigbee-compatible, allowing you to integrate them into the smart home system you already use: dimming, grouping by room, saving scenes. If you prefer to keep it simple, the spot works just as well with a classic switch or dimmer.
Champagne or matte black chrome
The finishes are the same as with the Linial track system: champagne, warm and soft in tone, or matte black chrome, sleeker and more graphic. Handy if you apply both in the same home — the finish will then continue, even though they are two different systems.
Furthermore, there's solid technology behind that sober exterior: a CRI of 90 renders colours as they are, and the deeply recessed reflector limits glare when you walk under the spot.
